Branch and Chapter Recognition Awards 2009

Awarded to RIM Professionals Australasia Branches in recognition of the efforts of the associations key volunteers.

Branch which held the highest number of events (excluding their local Chapter or SIG)

Winner:  Queensland

Most active chapter or special interest group

Chapter or SIG which held the highest number of events

Winner:  NSW Local Government Chapter

Honourable mention to the Queensland Local Government Chapter

Most unusual event

Branch or Chapter which held an information industry related event in an unusual setting or on an unusual subject

Winner:  ACT – Diversity in collection management – the Australian National Insect Collection; a walk and talk

Best attended branch event

Winner:  Victoria – Annual State Seminar with 89 registered participants

Most new members

Winner:  Queensland with 104 new members

Honourable mention to NSW who were close runners up with 101 new members

Best newsletter

Branch which produced the most interesting and informative branch newsletter over a 12 month period


Winner:  Tasmania

Most collaborative Information Awareness Month event

Awarded to the Branch which held an IAM event incorporating the highest number of organisations in its planning.


Winner:   ACT Branch for their involvement in ACTKM
