Victorian Branch Individual Achievement Award Winner Announced

Victorian Individual Achievement Award

The RIMPA Victorian Individual Achievement Award is presented to an individual in recognition of their contribution to the records management profession and industry.

The 2013 Victorian Individual Award was presented to Carol Jager from Greater Geelong City Council (currently on maternity leave).

Carol has extensive records management experience in the local government sector and previous experience in information management, from both the librarianship and knowledge management perspectives.

Carol contributed as Victorian Branch Councillor from 2005-2011.  During this time she held the positions of Local Government Chapter President, Secretary, Vice President and Newsletter Editor.  She was also involved in the preparation of a number of Victorian State Seminars.

Carol was heavily involved in the Local Government Digitisation Plan Steering Committee.  She was responsible for developing the Digitisation Plan Template for post-action conversion records.  Both templates are widely being used in the Local Government sector and are being used as templates for other sectors.

In Carol’s words‘I was most surprised and delighted to be nominated for the RIMPA Victorian Branch Individual Achievement Award.  Our Branch is an amazing support to professionals new to records management (and also those of us who have been around for a while!)’.

Congratulations Carol!
