Team Leader Information & Records Management – V18/4435

This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of records officers to deliver Council’s Records & Information Management Service. The position is also responsible for Council mail service including internal distribution.

In this role you will be responsible for developing organisational information management strategies and provide expert advice on information management to the organisation.

You will also be responsible for leading best practice approaches to records management that align with organisation strategic focus, while ensuring compliance to State Records Act, 1998 and its associated Standards and Guidelines.

Your ability to lead a team, manage projects, translate strategy into operational tasks and your strong understanding of records management requirements are critical.

You will be responsible to drive ongoing development and enhancement of Council’s Records Management Program utilising well developed change management experience.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in an Information/Records Management environment with demonstrated experience in records management and a clear understanding of the NSW Records Management Act. 

A demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team to achieve “high quality” service deliverables and professional communication & negotiation skills, with a strong professional customer service focus.  

Significant experience in staff supervision is also required.
