CPD Initiatives

Call for expressions of interest to participate in RIMPA’s┬ácontinuing professional development (CPD) initiatives

Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA) is a peak professional body for persons involved in the records and information management and related professions. We are a non-profit association and serve our members via a range of communication strategies including the publication of our professional journal (IQ), seminars, conferences and training days, networking, online social media, blogs and forums. Delivery of CPD can be through workshops, seminars, webinars, guidelines, flexible learning and e-learning. The CPD program complements the formal qualifications provided by educational institutions that have been accredited by RIMPA.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from parties interested in becoming involved in our professional development program. Specifically, we are seeking:

* Speakers and developers of professional development materials

* Sponsors, supporters and partners

* Preferred suppliers (function venues, catering)

Suggested topics (not in any order) include, but are not limited to:

Records and information management

* Recordkeeping theories and practice

* Adapting to digital working environments

* Information systems and emerging technologies

* RIM and the law

* Applying standards

* Traditional and digital preservation
