Information and Records Systems Specialist – NSW Trustee and Guardian

Ongoing full-time - 35 hours per week.
Location: Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
Clerk Grade: Grade 7/8. Base salary $106,025 p.a. to $117,363 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role
Are you ready to make a real impact in information and records management? Join the NSW Trustee and Guardian’s Information and Technology division as an Information and Records Systems Specialist! This role offers a chance to lead the way in managing and optimising essential systems that drive our mission of safeguarding the rights, dignity, and wishes of the people of NSW. As a part of our dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in transforming the way we manage information to improve customer experience and efficiency.

As our Information and Records Systems Specialist, you will:
  • Provide hands-on support, training, and administration of our Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
  • Deliver high-quality records management services to meet both agency and legislative standards.
  • Work closely with our team to manage information systems support and helpdesk operations.
  • Lead projects, implement quality assurance practices, and develop tailored solutions for our agency’s unique needs.
This role is crucial to our commitment to excellence in customer service, playing a vital part in ensuring our clients and teams have reliable, timely access to essential records and information.

About you
We’re looking for someone who is not just technically skilled but also passionate about delivering excellent service and working collaboratively. Our ideal candidate is a strong leader and mentor, ready to support and guide team members while balancing both day-to-day tasks and larger projects. You bring a blend of technical expertise in records management with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

You should demonstrate:
  • Solid experience in administering EDRMS systems in a regulatory environment (experience with OpenText Content Manager is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise competing demands and ensure compliance with quality and legislative standards.
  • Commitment to customer service, ensuring needs are met promptly and professionally.
Essential requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in information management or other relevant fields and/or equivalent knowledge and/or substantial experience in the Information and Records management industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring people.
