DPC Members Fora Scheduled for November in Australia
- Part 1 – Friday 7th November 2025 at iPRES 2025 in Wellington, New Zealand
- Part 2 – Friday 14th November 2025 in Sydney, Australia
In addition to meeting and networking with other members of the Coalition, the DPC will have an exciting program of fast-paced member-led talks and discussions, giving you the opportunity to take the floor and exchange ideas, showcase work and discuss key themes.
Jacqueline Devereaux from Vanderbilt University is one of the hosts of this year’s DPC Members Forum in the Americas and attended last year’s event in Dublin. She says:
“The DPC event in Dublin felt like an intimate gathering of colleagues and friends to discuss accomplishments, ponder current problems, and workshop ideas to apply at my own institution. As a practical event, I appreciated that the presentations were aimed at practitioners and not theoretical projects. It was comforting and tremendously helpful to connect with fellow specialists who focused on digital archiving and preservation. The DPC is an electrifying organization, and this event promoted fellowship and brainstorming within the community to promote digital preservation in our own contexts!”
Fellow attendee at the event in Dublin, Sarah Harris from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, agrees:
“I attended the DPC Unconference in Dublin in 2024 and it turned out to be an invaluable experience. I was able to meet professionals in the digital preservation field from all over the world and hear about their experiences, what they have found works, and what they have found does not work. The format allows for an open and honest discussion where everyone can share and ask questions with no judgement. It also allows for a feeling of camaraderie among the members that I have never seen a conference accomplish. I will absolutely be attending more in the future, and I cannot wait to see what else there is to learn.”
All DPC Members are invited to attend ANY of the three DPC Members Fora taking place around the world.
