KARMA 2025 Conference: Shaping Smart Governance
Smart government leverages technology and data to enhance public services, foster citizen engagement, and promote transparency and accountability. It reimagines governance by integrating digital tools, improving processes, and creating inclusive, sustainable systems.
Since 2013, the Smart Africa Alliance has driven socio-economic growth through ICT, with Kenya leading through its Digital Master Plan (2022-2032), targeting 80% digitisation of government services. At the heart of this transformation lies records and information management (RIM), which ensures effective data-driven decision-making and service delivery.
The 2025 KARMA Conference, held from 3-7 November in Mombasa, Kenya, will explore RIM’s pivotal role in smart governance. Key topics include building digital trust, regulatory frameworks, sustainability, citizen advocacy, and youth empowerment in RIM.
