IT-021 is the Standards Australia technical committee developing and maintaining Australian standards relevant to information, document, records and archives management, and micrographics. IT-021 also contributes experts for developing, reviewing and adopting international standards in these areas, as well as standards for file formats (like PDF), workflow, EDRM systems, and digital imaging. This session will look at current and future project work of IT-021 in developing Australian standards, and identify how practitioners, educators, regulators, consultants and vendors can inform the roadmap of standards, and contribute their expertise, to ensure standards are practical and useful, and ensure that there is trusted and reliable information and evidence of business and social activity in current and emerging contexts.
Tony is EDRMS Project Manager at the Department of Human Services, and is a member of Standards Australia Committee IT-021 Records and Document Management Systems. Tony has worked in various records, archives and information management roles and has a particular interest in the management of data as records.
