Join us as we discuss the concept of data minimisation. What does it mean, what are the impacts on agencies and organisations, what steps can we take to minimise data and most importantly, why should we? We’ll also take a closer look at what that might mean in the identity verification documents space. If there is a need to collect information, what information management tools and privacy requirements might we use to keep that information safe and secure?
Mel has worked in state government for over 25 years. Currently, working in State Records of South Australia (since May 2022) as Senior Policy Officer. Mel’s role focusses on the provision of advice to agencies, local governments and organisations on Freedom of Information, privacy and information management. Mel is currently the Executive Officer to the Privacy Committee of South Australia.
